Once there was a beach in Gloucester
It is simply the BEST kid-exhauster
The water, the waves, summer in its prime!
So much adventure, so little time.
How's this for a quick little guide:
Get there early and arrive at low tide
Cross over the sand bar, head up the hill
The view is gorgeous and the hike is a thrill.
Come down and it's time for snack number one
(everyone's hungrier under the sun)
Then grab a blanket and hit the sand
Kids take a rest while parents get tanned.
Pick up the football, throw pass throw
Go check out the pools during tide that is low.
Hermit crabs, fish and creatures galore
So many wonders to find on the shore.

Speaking of tide pools, these are unreal
Waist deep, like grottos, and the water is teal.
Then snack number one hundred and fifty eleven
Waist deep, like grottos, and the water is teal.
Then snack number one hundred and fifty eleven
Grab that boogey board and head into heaven
Crash through the surf and float away
This is the heart of a child's play.
Pretty soon they are in the zone
This day, I'm telling you, has completely flown
The laughing, the thumbs up, the eruptions of cheer
P.s this was obviously just a post with so-so poetry about how much I love Good Harbor Beach haha. Our Cape Cod summer vacation is up next!!
